Favorite Dog Art Books: “Faithful and Fearless: Portraits of Dogs”

While we wait for “Museum of Dogs” to be released (pre-order your copy today!) I wanted to share some very inspiring dog + art books I’ve been collecting along the way.

The first one is called “Faithful and Fearless: Portraits of Dogs,” and it was published to commemorate the dog art exhibit (“Portraits of Dogs: From Gainsborough to Hockney”) at The Wallace Collection in Marylebone, London.

The exhibit was dreamed up by museum director Xavier Bray whose pug Bluebell (aka Lady Wallace) receives a well-earned shout-out at the end of the book.

The book cover is by David Hockney whose paintings of his dachshunds Stanley & Boodgie are among my very favorite pictures of anything ever ❤️

Thank you for making this show and book happen Xavier and The Wallace Collection!
